What $229 includes.
- Every run cleaned by hand, front, back and garage
- Every downspout flushed and checked at the outlet
- Debris in paper yard-waste bags at your curb for the City’s weekly pickup
- Before-and-after photos of every side
- Loose hangers and leaking joints noted, never upsold on site
Detached two-storey, before HST. Other homes and options in the table below.
Four steps, every visit.
01Ladder with a stand-off
It rests on the wall or the roof, never on the gutter, and stays well clear of power lines.
02Scooped out by hand
Leaves, needles and sludge lifted out, not blown across your lawn and windows.
03Every downspout flushed
Water run through each one and checked at the outlet, so the next rain reaches the ground away from the foundation.
04Bagged at the curb
Debris in paper yard-waste bags for your town’s pickup (or hauled away), with before-and-after photos of every side.

What’s included
- Every eavestrough cleaned by hand with a scoop, not blown onto your lawn and windows.
- Every downspout flushed with water and checked at the outlet. A downspout clogged underground (in a buried drain) is noted with a photo; clearing a buried drain is a separate job.
- Debris bagged in paper yard-waste bags and left at your curb: Ottawa collects leaf and yard waste weekly, in paper bags only.
- Before-and-after photos of each side of the house, sent with your receipt.
- A note on anything loose: a sagging hanger, a gap at a joint, an elbow that has come off. We tell you; we don’t upsell on site.

When to book in Ottawa
At Ottawa Airport, November averages 5 days with a high at or below 0 °C and December 18.6 days (1981–2010 normals). Freezing days become more frequent in December. We accept fall requests through late November, with the visit depending on current conditions.
November brings about 20 cm of snow on average and December about 53 cm. Leaves keep falling into November, so the best date is after your trees are bare and before the first lasting cold: in most Ottawa neighbourhoods, the first three weeks of November.
The spring visit clears what fell over the winter (seeds, needles, roof grit) before the April rains. Book both now with the spring + fall plan and both visits are 10% off.
For a detached two-storey home, the two-visit plan is $412.20 total: $206.10 after each completed visit, before HST. Selected add-ons apply on both visits. We arrange the opposite-season visit with you separately.
Why it matters
Water that can’t get down the downspouts spills over the eavestrough and lands next to your foundation. The University of Minnesota Extension notes that a great number of basement water problems can be solved by handling rainwater with working gutters and downspouts, discharging at least 4 feet from the wall.
The City of Ottawa recommends sending downspouts to a permeable area 3 metres from your foundation, which only works if the gutters and downspouts are clear.
How the visit works
- The pro texts when they’re on the way, within your morning or afternoon window. You don’t need to be home if the gates are open.
- Ladder with a stand-off, so it rests on the wall or roof, not on the eavestrough. Ladders stay at least 3 metres from overhead power lines and Hydro Ottawa poles.
- Cleaning and flushing: about 1 to 2 hours for most houses.
- Photos and the card link: you pay once you’ve seen the work.
Gutter guards
Already have guards? We lift and reset them (+$60), because leaves and grit still build up under most screens. Want new guards? Tell us when you book: a partner installer measures and quotes in person, and you decide after.
Eavestrough cleaning in Ottawa: your price in seconds
See my priceQuestions
How much does eavestrough cleaning cost in Ottawa?
With UpkeepGo: $149 for a townhouse or semi, $179 for a detached bungalow, $229 for a detached two-storey and $299 for a large or three-storey house, before HST. Existing guards add $60.
Do I need to be home?
No, as long as the gates are open and the pro can reach every side. You get the photos and the payment link by text.
What if it rains on my date?
Light rain doesn’t stop the work. Heavy rain, ice or high wind does: we text to move you to the next free slot, at the same price.
Can you clean my eavestroughs in December?
Only until they freeze. In Ottawa that usually means the end of November; after that, frozen debris can’t be removed safely and we book you for spring.
Do you repair gutters?
We note and photograph anything loose or leaking. Repairs and new gutters are quoted separately by a partner installer; you are never charged for repairs on a cleaning visit.
Are your pros insured?
Yes. Every partner pro carries commercial general liability insurance and a valid WSIB clearance before their first UpkeepGo job, and we check it again every 90 days.
